“Curiosity. It keeps us moving forward, exploring, experimenting, opening new doors.” – Walt Disney
As we usher in the New Year, many of us make New Year’s resolutions. Lose weight, exercise more, get more sleep, and eat healthier. We have specific, ambitious goals we want to reach that will make us feel better about ourselves and ensure less critical remarks are made towards us.
The Feldenkrais Method® has no rigid doctrine, dos and don’ts. The Feldenkrais Method® explores movement through questioning for you to discover the answer. Curiosity is cultivated, applauded, and nudged. Then take this questioning attitude into your daily life. You will go down unfamiliar, interesting paths.
“Give people facts and you feed their minds for an hour. Awaken Curiosity and they feed their minds for a lifetime.”
–Ian Russell
Instead of making your goal for 2020 to lose 20 pounds or exercise for 30 minutes three times a week, choose the word Curiosity as your daily mantra. I am optimistic that you will feel successful every day as the goal is easy to reach. Are you ready to be inquisitive with me in 2020?
“I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious.” –Albert Einstein
